Stockholm Royal Seaport, a popular destination for study visits.

In 2024, Stockholm Royal Seaport welcomed 270 visitors interested in exploring urban development and the city’s innovative sustainability efforts.

These groups include officials and decision-makers, students, researchers, and representatives from municipalities, companies, and organisations around the world.

"By systematically sharing our experiences, Stockholm contributes to the global climate transition,” says Annika Jacobson, Stockholm's Climate Director. “Stockholm Royal Seaport serves as a practical example of implementing climate solutions. Demonstrating tangible results from blue-green solutions to energy efficiency measures adds significant value."

Visitors are particularly interested in how Stockholm balances the development of dense urban areas with climate adaptation, recreation, and biodiversity. Topics such as energy efficiency, waste management, and stormwater strategies are frequently discussed. The city's approach to implementing blue-green solutions sparks particular interest.

In addition to Swedish visitors, groups from across Europe and Asia, including students, politicians, and companies, continue to show interest. To date, over 60,000 visitors from more than 120 countries have explored this pioneering urban development project.
